Getting started with CueCart

Install CueCart, start your free trial, and fire your first cue.

CueCart is a broadcast-grade audio cartwall: a grid of pads that fire preloaded audio the instant you hit them. This guide takes you from download to your first live cue.

1. Install and open

Download CueCart for Windows 10/11 (64-bit) from the download page and run the installer. Launch CueCart and start your 7-day free trial — every feature unlocked. There's no password and no credit card; you just enter your email and confirm the 6-digit code we send you.

2. Add audio to a pad

There are two quick ways to load a cue:

  • Drag and drop an audio file from Windows Explorer straight onto a pad, the library, or the deck.
  • Use the library to import a folder, then drag tracks onto pads.

Supported formats include WAV, AIFF, FLAC, MP3, Ogg Vorbis and AAC (.m4a, .aac, .m4b). Each file is prepared and held ready in memory, so the pad fires with no spin-up.

3. Organise with banks

Group your show across banks — jingles, beds, news, music — and switch between them instantly with F1–F12. Because every cue is preloaded, changing banks is gapless.

4. Go live

  • Click a pad (or press its mapped key) to fire it. By default a pad is in Restart mode, so pressing it again restarts it from the top — use Space or Esc (below) to stop.
  • Right-click a pad to open the Cue Editor for colour, playback behaviour, routing and a waveform trimmer.
  • Press Space to stop, or Esc to panic-kill every voice instantly.
