Choose an output device, set a buffer, and cue on headphones.

CueCart gives you full control of your audio devices and routing under Settings → Audio.

Choosing a device

CueCart uses Windows Audio (WASAPI), which is built into Windows 10/11 and works out of the box on any PC — there's nothing extra to install. Pick your output device from the list and you're ready to go.

For the lowest, steadiest latency, choose your dedicated audio interface (rather than the shared system output) and tune the buffer size below.

Sample rate and buffer

Match the sample rate to your interface (44.1 or 48 kHz is typical). The buffer size trades latency for stability: a smaller buffer means lower latency but more CPU load. If you hear clicks or dropouts, raise the buffer a step — see Troubleshooting.

Output modes and the cue bus

CueCart can send Master and your cue (PFL) bus to different outputs, with a render-once engine feeding each device — ideal for front-of-house plus a monitor feed.

Only have a single headphone jack? Dual-Mono mode sends a mono Master to one channel and your mono cue/Phone bus to the other, so you can pre-listen on a single stereo jack.

Listening ahead on the deck

The built-in DJ deck has a headphone (PFL) button — tap it to hear the deck on your cue bus while the room continues to hear the show.

Broadcast processing

Every pad runs through an AGC → Compressor → Limiter → Master chain. One-click presets — Off, Clean, DJ, Party, Radio, Office — match the room, and offline RMS normalisation lands every cue at a consistent level.
